MERIDIAN’S RICHARD HOLLINSHEAD JOINS
CEDIA TECHNOLOGY COUNCIL
Richard Hollinshead, Chief Technical Officer at Meridian Audio has joined the prestigious CEDIA Technology Council. Made up of leading international experts from across the industry, the Technology Council works to identify new business opportunities and risks presented by emerging and future technologies.
As Chief Technical Officer of Meridian, Richard will provide expertise on ‘all things’ audio, and assist the CEDIA Technology Council simplify complex concepts, explain new technology and create valuable educational resources for home technology professionals and suppliers across the globe. Richard is a pivotal figure at Meridian, having spent over 30 years in the consumer electronics and audio industry. He has been instrumental in many of Meridian’s market-leading developments, including the first DSP loudspeaker, the first digital surround controller, and Meridian’s recently launched DSP320 ceiling/in-wall loudspeaker.
The CEDIA Technology Council regularly produces white papers covering a wide range of issues in the industry, which can help both installers and suppliers navigate a rapidly changing technological landscape. The Technology Council also hosts regular webinars following major events and exhibitions such as CES or CEDIA Expo, to summarise and explain breakthrough innovations and market trends. The latest CEDIA Technology Council white paper, entitled “Home Technology Professional of 2020: Marketplace Predictions” can be downloaded online from the CEDIA Resource Library at www.cedia.co.uk – it is available free to CEDIA members and at a price of $99 to non-CEDIA members.
The 2016 CEDIA Technology Council comprises thought-leaders and acknowledged tech experts under the Chairmanship of Gordon van Zuiden from cyberManor.
