When Denote was commissioned to transform a Sydney harbour-view property into one of the world's most advanced smart homes, audio excellence was paramount. The Kings Residence would go on to win nine major industry awards, including CEDIA's Global Best Integrated Home - the industry's highest honour.
The four-bedroom residence, perched above Sydney Harbour with spectacular 180-degree views, was being completely rebuilt. The clients wanted technology that would enhance their lives for the next decade. Having previously experienced both excellent and problematic systems, they demanded uncompromising reliability along with exceptional performance.
The system's impact on visitors is immediate and profound. During demonstrations, guests often search for hidden subwoofers, unable to believe the powerful bass emanates from the slim 203mm-wide DSP750 speakers . "They can't believe that much sound comes from such elegant speakers," notes Dorset.
The almost-complete digital signal chain sets this installation apart. Audio remains in the digital domain from source through processor to speakers, converting to analogue only at the final stage within each speaker. This approach eliminates the degradation in quality associated with traditional systems featuring multiple conversion stages.
The selection of Meridian began with a powerful demonstration. Jono Dorset brought DSP750 in-wall speakers to the client's rental property for a simple test. The reaction was immediate: "They're fantastic. I want them."
This enthusiasm quickly expanded throughout the home. The DSP750s delivered floor-standing performance in an incredibly slim 203mm profile, solving the challenge of limited space while maintaining uncompromising sound quality.

Whether playing in one room or throughout the home, audio remains perfectly aligned.
