Sales Consultant

This role will be responsible for researching, identifying, contacting and converting new leads for potential trade customers within the UK and Eire.

 

Responsibilities

  • To grow the pipeline of new dealer leads and ensuring follow-up meetings are booked, held and reported on.
  • To maintain up-to-date and accurate CRM records.
  • To act as the primary point of contact for all new inbound UK trade enquiries and to be responsible for building & maintaining a database of customers, contacts and relationships in order to maximise continued commercial success of the UK & Eire sales team.

 

Main Duties

  • Continuous development of the pipeline of new UK & Eire trade dealer leads
  • Following-up all leads with tenacity, introducing and engaging potential new dealers to business opportunities with Meridian & our 3rd party distribution brands
  • Working with the UK & Eire sales team to hand over cultivated leads with relevant notes
  • Using our CRM to log reports on leads generated & handed-over, and conversion success rate
  • Researching & monitoring market and competitor activity to identify additional opportunities (via trade press, social media, newsletters etc.)
  • Answering inbound phone calls and sales enquiries
  • Supporting sales events, meeting dealers and building productive business relationships with prospects and existing accounts
  • Additional responsibility for processing sales orders and providing full holiday cover for the Sales Administrator: processing export paperwork, invoicing and shipping global product orders

 

Skills and Experience

Required:

  • Experience working on new/cold B2B sales prospects
  • Experience of initiating and developing new trade customer relationships to generate qualified sales leads and opportunities
  • CRM experience (SalesForce) beneficial but not essential
  • ERP experience (Syspro v.8) beneficial but not essential
  • An interest in Audio, Home Cinema and/or Consumer Electronics and Technology
  • Experience working within the Consumer Electronics, Commercial or Residential AV industry beneficial but not essential

Senior Test Engineer

This role will be responsible for specifying, designing, and implementing the tests that ensure the quality and the functionality of all Meridian product.

 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include all phases of the QA and testing program, from designing the test parameters, jigs, and fixtures, to troubleshooting errors, and writing test procedures.

 

Main Duties

  • Running tests and collating test reports
  • Providing feedback to engineers
  • Setting up and running one-off experiments to investigate detailed issues
  • Meeting with the product design team to determine product testing parameters/requirement
  • Writing test plans and creating test cases for the product.
  • Developing and documenting automated test systems for testing Meridian designed product
  • Conducting quality assurance and designing performance tests using the new testing procedures
  • Troubleshooting any errors and streamlining the testing procedures
  • Writing up the final QA and test procedures for the test technicians
  • Training the technicians and providing technical support when needed
  • Ensuring all tests and procedures meet company and industry standards

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering (or similar) to at least 2.1 level, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience with software QA

  • Previous work experience as a test engineer and producing automated test equipment
  • Familiarity with Windows / Linux or other Unix OS / MacOS.
  • Familiarity with measurement equipment and techniques using oscilloscopes, dScope, Audio Precision.

This role will be responsible for maintaining customer standards and expectations alongside managing Meridian’s Quality Management System (QMS).

 

Responsibilities

  • The Quality Engineer's responsibilities include designing quality standards, inspecting materials, equipment, processes, and products, developing quality control systems, and determining corrective actions.
  • You will also work with managers and supervisors to implement quality measures.

Technical Support Consultant

This role will be to provide technical support and consultation to the Company’s dealers and distributors around the world, for Meridian Audio products, and for 3rd party distributed brands.

Specifying, engineering, configuring, calibrating, commissioning, and troubleshooting networked and stand-alone audio & video systems for trade customers.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Answering queries and resolving technical issues for trade customers and inside the Company, primarily via remote support and on-site in the field as required
  • Providing pre-sales technical and configuration information, final system commissioning and troubleshooting support across all products and brands
  • Calibrating and commissioning networked and stand-alone audio & video system installations in the field where required
  • Supporting in-field product demonstrations to trade and end-user customers where required
  • Supporting sales staff on visits to dealers and distributors where required
  • Administering and coordinating all RMAs, ST’s, spare parts and product replacements for trade customers

 

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Relevant technical education or recognised training qualification and previous relevant work experience is desirable, e.g. in networking or audio/video or software or system engineering
  • Similar technical role within a fast-paced, customer-focused commercial business
  • Practical field-based experience of installing AV or networked product systems is desirable
  • Understanding of network audio (Dante/AES67) and experience of deploying AV-over-IP is desirable
  • A demonstrable interest in and understanding of technology and audio/video products
  • A breadth of understanding in the various technologies relevant to AV and IP networks
