Business Manager

The Business Manager is responsible for managing, strengthening and growing successful commercial business relationships with our global customers and partners, across multiple sectors worldwide.

Operating within our Licensing & Consultancy team, the Business Manager is responsible for selling and delivering our audio technologies, branded audio solutions and consultancy services to OEMs and Tier 1 Suppliers, with a core focus on the automotive sector.

The role encompasses:-
· Key Account Management:- Managing and developing an existing portfolio of automotive customers.
· Business Development:- Proactively identifying and securing new business opportunities.
· Cross-functional Commercial Program Management:- Working closely with engineering and customer teams, you will help translate technical capability into commercially successful programmes.

Main Duties

Sales Strategy & Business Development: Execute sales strategies and plans for existing and prospective OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, to drive business across brand, technology licensing and consultancy services.

Commercial bidding process: Commercial support on RFI and RFQ with existing and new licensing opportunities. Ensuring these are understood, progressed and delivered on time. Liaising with Automotive & Licensing Director, Marketing and Engineering for required input and alignment

Relationship Management: Act as the trusted commercial point of contact for assigned key accounts. Build and maintain stakeholder relationships across all touchpoints in particular engineering, procurement, marketing and design departments.

Account Management: Developing and managing OEM account plans including platforms, vehicles, sales performance, new tech/feature opportunities and work schedules to support business resource and finance planning.

Commercial Data & Forecasting: Responsible for capturing and managing all commercial data across licensing and consultancy for Director-level review. This includes maintaining accurate forecasts, pricing, invoice tracking, production schedules, and certification.

Reporting & Governance: Prepare quarterly reports detailing the licensing sales pipeline and partnership activity. Including customer-specific insights and market trends.

Brand Ambassador & Networking: Represent the company at networking and industry events, trade shows and launches to drive opportunities and awareness.

Skills, Qualifications, Competence Level

· Key Account Management: Minimum 5 years experience in managing and growing existing global corporate accounts, acting as the primary day-to-day commercial contact. 
· Business Development: Experienced in identifying, qualifying, and securing new business opportunities. Proven ability to execute structured sales plans to win new business.
· Business acumen: Proven track record of developing strong business relationships that deliver profitable year-on-year revenue growth. 
· Stakeholder Management: Experienced in navigating multi-tiered customer structures, with the communication skills required to engage confidently across varied disciplines including Engineering, Procurement, and Marketing.

Job Location

Based at Meridian’s HQ in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, with frequent travel throughout the UK and to international markets as and when required.
