Performance Series
The Meridian M6 is a visually stunning loudspeaker. Featuring individual components that are perfectly matched and sonically balanced, the entire system’s electronics are housed within the enclosure and deliver a level of performance that is unsurpassed by traditional speaker design.
Whether used individually, in a stereo pair or within a surround-sound system, the gently tapered and cylindrical shape gives the M6 its naturally wide dispersion pattern which fills a room with a superbly-imaged, natural sound that can be enjoyed from any position. The M6 not only looks stylish but also provides a powerful performance every time.

The award winning M6 incorporates high performance amplifiers and electronics which are all neatly hidden. Whether used individually, in a stereo pair or within a surround-sound system, the M6 digital active loudspeaker combines superb sound with elegant design to complement any room setting and layout.
Meridian Resonance Control uses the dimensions of the room in order to compensate for the primary modal resonances that are especially exacerbated by loudspeakers with downward firing speakers, or by in-wall mounted loudspeakers.
Meridian Bespoke Signal Mapping utilises digital signal processing to apply tailored crossover filters that are designed specifically for each configuration of drive units within a loudspeaker.
Meridian E3 Bass uses specifically designed filters to expand, extend and enhance the low-frequency response of the loudspeaker.
FFA (Full Frequency Alignment) is a combination of digital filters and delays to correct the group-delay of a loudspeaker. It ensures that all frequencies reach the listener's ear at the same time.
Meridian Pro-Active Bass protects the bass driver from over-excursion, ensuring maximum bass output without damaging the drive unit.
Meridian Pro-Active Thermal monitors the audio being sent to the wide-range driver and limits the overall volume of the loudspeaker if there is a risk of the drive unit getting too hot.
Meridian Q-Sync deploys Meridian's multiple “First In, First Out” buffering system which minimises jitter, ensuring perfect timing and improved clarity.
Meridian True Link is an encryption method for transferring high-definition digital audio over SPDIF connections. It allows secure movement of digital audio whilst ensuring that the SPDIF clock signal can be transmitted with minimum degradation.
Meridian Free-Q is used to compensate for acoustic problems associated with specific loudspeaker placement conditions.
The Performance Series
The Performance range of Meridian loudspeakers adopts the same cabinet design and many of the integrated technology principles featured in the Reference range.
The traditional setup – amplifiers driving passive loudspeakers – is inefficient, limiting sound quality. Meridian Performance loudspeakers contain a complete, matched audio system with efficient DSP crossovers, multiple DACs and driver-specific amplifiers, giving higher overall quality and less power use.
