LG's 2021 Soundbars feature Meridian Horizon Technology

Meridian Audio’s long-term relationship with LG Electronics continues to go from strength to strength as showcased by the launch of the 2021 LG soundbar lineup, which features Meridian Horizon technology.

With LG aiming for its new soundbar range to deliver an even more premium audio experience, with easy connectivity, smart functionality and stylish aesthetics to complement its TV range, Meridian engineers worked closely with the LG team to ensure that the implementation of the British audio pioneer’s proprietary technologies and bespoke tuning deliver unrivalled sound quality in their product class.

All models within this new LG range – SP11RA, SP9YA, SP8YA, SP7Y and SPD7Y – feature Meridian Horizon, an upmixing technology that provides immersive multichannel audio from two channel stereo content, regardless of listening position or location in the room. This improves the soundstage of the whole performance, increasing the “sweet-spot” area and stability of the centre image and delivers an overall sense of immersion for every listener.

Meridian’s focus on innovation, combined with the UK company’s suite of audio technologies and expertise in Digital Signal Processing (DSP), has helped enhance the audio performance of LG’s soundbars, as well as many of their speakers, earphones and smartphones, since 2018.
