Meridian Scores a Hattrick at The Smart Building Awards
Awards season has begun, and Meridian has started it in the best possible way – by being awarded with three accolades at The Smart Building Awards, including Best Standalone Speaker, Best In-Wall or In-Ceiling Speaker, and Best Manufacturer.
Hosted on the evening between the two-day Essential Install Live event, The Smart Building Awards focusses on recognising leading companies, products, and projects. Having launched a number of new products over the last couple of years, Meridian entered itself into the three categories.
First up was Best In-Wall or In-Ceiling Speaker and taking top honours was the Meridian DSP730 In-Wall Digital Active Loudspeaker. This reference loudspeaker delivers performance, accuracy, and powerful bass for both music and movies. Designed for easy and flexible installation in cinema rooms or for distributed audio applications, the high dynamic range ensures listeners can enjoy every detail from the whisper of a child’s voice to the loudest explosion.
The next award Meridian was awarded was Best Standalone Speaker and its recently launched Meridian DSP8000 XE Digital Active Loudspeaker was highlighted. The DSP8000 XE is the first Meridian loudspeaker to emerge from the company’s Extreme Engineering Programme which commenced more than six years ago. Informed by psychoacoustics and engineered by experts, the Extreme Engineering Programme was created to re-imagine every element of Meridian’s product platforms, including both software and hardware.
Last in a hattrick of awards was Best Manufacturer. Meridian has been awarded this prize for three years in a row, showcasing how it continues to challenge convention, push boundaries, and launch products that have created new possibilities in sound.
